Toolkit for Teachers & Career Advisers

The Toolkit for Teachers & Career Advisers offers instructional and advising resources for educators and workforce professionals.

The Toolkit has three sections of resources for advisers to use with students and job seekers:

  • Using MN Programs of Study with Quick Tips, and Lesson Plans and Activities for using the MN Programs of Study website.
  • Career Planning with Activities and Worksheets, Resource Lists, and Quick Tips for delivering career information and career planning resources to students and job seekers.
  • Successful Student Transition Plans with resources for educators, advisors, and parents to support students' postsecondary education and employment plans.

All sections of the Toolkit for Teachers & Career Advisers highlight how to use the Minnesota Career Fields, Clusters & Pathways framework in K-12 schools, colleges and universities, and public and community employment organizations.

In addition, program administrators can find useful resources in the Toolkit for Administrators & Consortium Leaders.

Production

Content for the toolkit was developed with resources from several community, state, and national education and workforce development partners. Toolkit funding was provided by the Minnesota Career and Technical Education Unit of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system and the Minnesota Department of Education. The site was written and produced by staff from the previous iSeek Solutions organization, Minnesota State and Community Colleges (MnSCU), and the Minnesota Department of Education.
